I have always had a passion for traveling and experiencing new things. As a wildly curious person, the idea of studying internationally and traveling has always appealed to me. However, it was not always in reach.
During the winter semester of 2018, I was finally able to follow my dream of studying abroad! This experience truly shaped me into who I am today. Through my semester exchange with the University of Salford in Manchester, UK, I was able to grow my political understanding, learn about a culture completely different from my own, and build relationships and friendships which I will value for the rest of my lifetime.
While in England, I studied politics courses exclusively, with a focus on international politics and political research. I am so grateful for my experiences here. Studying these courses through a different world lens opened my eyes and allowed me to think about both past and current events in a way which is very different from the "American lens".
During my time abroad, I did lots of traveling throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. In England my favorite cities, aside from Manchester of course, were London and Liverpool. Edinburgh, Scotland also holds a special place in my heart. I was able to visit many cities and multiple countries, including England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Vatican City, and Spain.
